SideWinder Label Rewind Inspection Table
The SideWinder Label Inspection System is designed to perform 100% verification of printed text and graphics at high speeds. Our base package provides the ultimate in label rewind technology and surpasses the competition in every performance category. This base system may be upgraded with any of the other SideWinder product configurations. The SideWinder offers a variety of inspection groups that may be applied in any combination with a default of 10 vision tools per given inspection group. The system has been developed with proven Cognex vision technology.

The system can inspect text printed with virtually any printing technology and black or white text on various colored backgrounds. The web width may range from 12.7mm (0.5”) to 178mm (7.0”). Label length can range from 12.7mm (0.5”) to 406.4mm (16.0”).
System Configurations
SideWinder OCV
The Optical Character Verification (OCV) package is able to locate and verify up to 20 individual text strings per label.
SideWinder ID
The Identification (ID) package is able to locate, verify and score up to 20 individual 1D, Data Matrix and PDF417 codes or any combination of these symbologies per label.
SideWinder PQI
The Print Quality Inspection (PQI) package is able to locate and perform complete inspections of large quantities of text. The package is a precaution against product recalls or lawsuits due to incorrect or missing information.
SideWinder LX
The LX package provides the power and the capabilities of the OCV, ID and PQI packages all in one. Each label may be inspected for up to 10 OCV, ID and PQI tools at production rates exceeding 500 parts per minute.
SideWinder OCR
The Optical Character Recognition (OCR) package is able to locate and read up to 20 individual text strings per label. Labels may be checked to ensure that number sequencing meets pharmaceutical or internal standards. Our OCR system has been field proven at 2250 labels per minute on six alphanumeric characters incrementing on a per label basis.

Label Printer
Do you need to print then rewind or inspect 100% of your labels before application? If so, this SideWinder option is the solution. Integro can integrate InkJet or laser-based printers into the SideWinder base package to meet all of your printing needs.
Production Line Integration
Do you need a vision system integrated directly into your existing labeling line? If so, SideWinder can be integrated directly into your label production process to seamlessly inspect and verify 100% of your labels prior to application. |
