Integro Technologies of Salisbury got its start 15 years ago thanks to ambitions of an engineer and the encouragement of a message in a fortune cookie.
Thomas Campion, working at a materials handling company and living in southern Pennsylvania, drew a fortune that read, “Don’t be afraid to take that big step.”
In January, Integro celebrated 15 years in business with an annual meeting in Salisbury that drew all 43 employees to the company’s space in the Salisbury Business Center.
In 2001, Campion jumped into the budding machine-vision industry by starting Integro.
“I knew that the company would grow to be successful,” Campion says, “but I never imagined what Integro would become 15 years later.”

At the meeting, Campion’s brother, Shawn Campion, now president and a partner in Integro, predicts the company is poised for growth in staff and revenue and in other areas.
“With the infrastructure, engineering talent and management in place, we will be very aggressive driving into the future of machine vision and quality inspection,” Shawn Campion says.
